Bio

Akira was born in a small Rava village in the Golmore Jungle. At the age of 15 is when his sex was revealed to be male. And much like any male in a Viera village he taken away by a male that was born in the village to begin his training as an Wood-warder. During his training Akira learned that he had a natural talent for manipulating aether. So talented that he can infuse aether into his throwing weapons so can manipulate their path. With this talent he would use it to protect his village and the woods. He would do this for 5 years until a unique opportunity struck.

During his patrol through Golmore Jungle he happened to run into a Thavnair dance troupe that was in trouble facing one of creatures of the jungle. Akira quickly came to their rescue and saved them from the savage beast. Upon making sure they were alright he was about to leave when suddenly the troupe leader, an Au Ra man, extended an invitation to join them. The leader said he was impressed with how he was using his weapons and said it was similar to how they use their weapons as Thavnair dancers. The leader told Akira they are heading to Kugane to meet their benefactor and invites him to tag along and that they can train him on how to improve his abilities even more. This weighed heavily on Akira as he does want to improve his talents but it comes at the cost of leaving his home forever. He had always craved on wanting to find ways to improve his technique. After some thought he decided to take up the leader's offer and travel with them to Kugane and start a new life.

Upon arriving at Kugane the leader of the dance troupe introduced him to their benefactor. A Hyur merchant that helped supplies Far Eastern wears to Western states. Upon being asked his name Akira was about to give his wood name but due to him leaving the Golmore Jungle. Thus he needed a new one and the Hyur merchant suggested 'Akira' after a son he had lost. Akira happily took the name in honor of the merchant that took him that he would later find out set him a long path. After a brief stay he would travel again with the troupe as the explored all around the 3 great continents. He would be traveling for 5 years until he got letter from his benifactor inviting him to come back to Kugane. Upone arriving back in Kugane his benifactor informed that he's been impressed with his talents and everything he has heard about his talents with aether. The merchant informed him that he managed to secure him a spot at Sharlayan's Studium. He informed Akira to take this time to perfect his talent. Akira feeling honored by this accepted this opportunity and would soon find himself on the next boat to Old Sharlayan.

Akira quickly took to his studies at the Studium. Thanks to his studies there he was able to improve his abilities on manipulating aether. Like being able to solidify aether and make blades of light. On top of him being there he was able to learn some magical arts like sage, astrologian, and red mage arts. On top of that he studied many different subjects like aetherology, history, astronomy, and anthropology. Akira would live in Old Sharlayan for about 15 years devoting his time to his studies and assisting the faculty in their work. It would be in that time that he would receive a letter from Kugane stating that his benefactor is unwell. Akira would quickly board a ship back to Kugane to be by the person that played a big role in his life.

Akira had arrived back in Kugane in time before the man that has helped him for most of his life had passed. He managed to thank the man, that practically treated him like a son, for all his support for all these years. The man had one last gift for Akira and that was to name him his heir to his estate. This meant he inherited all his wealth and land. Akira couldn't believe the man would do such a thing but since the man had no children of his own he thought it was best to leave it all to him. It would not be long until the man had passed away. It would be the first time Akira had experience lose but it would be far the last. Over the years those that were close to him were starting to be lose to time. From the members of the troupe that he encountered almost half a decade ago to those he studied with at the Studium.

Over the decades Akira has been splitting his time between Kugane and Old Sharlayan. He made sure to keep his newly inherited merchant business afloat with an expanded it to locations like Sharlayan. On top of that he does still do some work for the Studium and assists any Gleaners that need help in the Far East. On some occasions he would help sponsor dance troupes and even perform with them throughout the 3 great continents. And on some occaasions when he is in Old Sharlyan he would give lectures in the Studium.

PersonalityAkira is a kind individual that loves to help those in need out. He can also be quite shy at times but once comfortable around people he can be quite fun and loves to be around people. There are times he can get sad especially if one brings up his parents. Akira can also be confidant once he sets his to mind something.HobbiesIn his spare time when he's not traveling Akira loves to read and drink tea. He also loves going to the hot springs back a Kugane as he finds the warm water very relaxing especially after taking a long trip.

Current EventsAkira now splits his time between traveling and staying in Kugane. With the final days having been prevented and Sharlayan now starting to open up to the world again and allowing students from around the world to attend the Studium. Akira now offers his support to Ameliance's efforts to helping others around the attend the Studium. He helps sponsors those that are from the Far East to attend the Studium.
